Of Note 2006:

This is probably old news to most of you, but MGM has acquired the world wide rights to A Dog's Breakfast. Unfortunately it won't be distributed in theaters, only television and home video. The news release does go on to say MGM acquired 'all rights to distribute the film in any and all media including television, new media and home video'.
So while I am disappointed that Christopher and this movie won't be coming to the big screen and those unfamiliar with him and Stargate will miss it, at least it is being distributed and we'll be able to get it on DVD.

I was able to get some screen caps of the video taken at the Santa Clause Parade in Vancouver. They are up on the Gallery page.

Thanks to DiscoDiva we now have pictures of Christopher on the float at the Parade! Stargate SG-1: The Official Video Community Site has an interview with Christopher and the others about the parade, including some video of the parade from the float's perspective. Check out our Interviews page for more information, blurbs, and the link.

More info on the 3rd Annual Rogers Santa Clause Parade in Vancouver. Christopher, Michael, Gary, and Michael's wife Lexa Doig will be the Grand Marshalls of the parade. This is an honorary role, and the Stargate float is a lead float, and will be near the start of the parade. Joining the adults with be their respective children.
The Stargate float will have a large film projector on it and a film strip with images from Stargate SG-1 on it will be wrapped around the projector. It will also have two large TV screens that will be showing clips from the show or they might have a camera operator on the float who will be shooting the crowd that will be on the TV screens; they haven't decided yet. One bit of information that I'm excited about is that there will be a whole group of Jaffa Warriors dressed in costumes from the show walking along side the float. Two of the Jaffa will lead the float, carrying the Stargate banner. I wonder if it's too late for me to go dressed in my robes?
The parade will run east along Georgia Street from Broughton St. to Howe St. and then north up Howe St. to Burnaby St.
Thanks to Michael Shanks Online for the information.

I've found out more about Christopher's role in A Dog's Breakfast. Apparently the role was tiny when David Hewlett wrote it, but Christopher did an incredible job with the reading, and David ended up enlarging the role. Christopher plays a loser named Chris, who can't get a date and resorts to Internet dating. What David had to say about Christopher and the role is on the Interviews page. And we have a picture of Christopher and Kate Hewlett from A Dog's Breakfast on the Gallery Page.

There will be a screening of A Dog's Breakfast in which Christopher has a role (small, I've heard), November 16, 2006 at 7.30 pm at Westside Pavilion Landmark Theatres in West Los Angeles. You have to RSVP to attend.

Christopher, along with best bud Michael Shanks and also Gary Jones, will be leading the 3rd Annual Rogers Santa Clause Parade in Vancouver on the 19th of November.
According to the Vancouver Board of Trade website, the parade is televised and has 'The Spirit of Giving' as its theme, and will feature 60 different bands, floats, and community groups. The parade route is along Georgia and Howe Streets in Vancouver and starts at 1.00 pm.
Although the parade is televised, it appears it won't be shown on Global TV until December 2nd at 1:00pm and December 25th at 12:00 pm.
I'm still trying to find out what role Chris plays in A Dog's Breakfast.

The SciFi World has a new interview up with Christopher. In it he talks about Stargate SG-1 not being renewed, Teal'c, writing scripts, and a whole lot more. You can even download the audio interview.
September 5, 2006
Christopher will be appearing at the Starbase Indy convention which takes place November 24-26. He will be there Saturday for the Dinner with the Stars and Sunday for the Q&A and the Sunday Surprise Performance.

Christopher's movie Personal Effects will be on Lifetime September 1, at 2:00 pm. He plays Nate Wall, a private investigator friend of the main character, Bonnie Locke. Rumor has it there were some love scenes filmed between the two, but were left on the cutting room floor.
In a cast interview (one minute in) on Hypaspace Weekly, Christopher says that thinks that this 'cancellation' is only the ending of Stargate's relationship with the SciFi Network. He believes Charlie Cohen, Brad, and Rob have other machinations of SG-1 and Stargate in the works, and just because their relationship with SciFi has ended, that is not necessarily the end of SG-1 and definitely not the end of the Stargate franchise. Don't fret, he assures us, we might be forced to watch them for more years to come.

In the wake of the nonrenewal of Stargate, Chris has a few things on his plate. He had a small part in David Hewlett's A Dog's Breakfast. He plays a character named Chris; no word yet on who the character is or what part he plays in the story's plot. At this time there is no release date for this movie.
I have been told that Chris is featured in the latest (September?) 'Sister to Sister' magazine with Rachel Lutrell. He is quoted as saying that during the summer (this past? this coming?) he is filming a movie with John Leguizamo and 50 Cent. I will try and get a copy to update us on exactly what it is Chris is doing and scan pictures from the article if there are any.
